Upstate Elite Cheer is excited to offer three competitive teams for the upcoming season:

NEW: Tiny Novice Team Level 1 (Ages 4–7)

At Upstate Elite Cheer, athletes ages 4–19 train in a fun, disciplined, and confidence-building All-Star environment. Whether you're brand-new or ready for advanced elite skills, our USASF-certified coaches are committed to helping every athlete grow, shine, and succeed.
As proud members of the U.S. All-Star Federation (USASF), our athletes train for high-energy performances at both local and national events. The All-Star season runs September through mid-May, with optional summer training for athletes who want to stay sharp year-round.
Teams compete in 4–6 events per season, typically 1–4 hours away, and celebrate the year with an exciting end-of-season competition in Virginia Beach. We proudly support multi-sport athletes—just let your coaches know about any scheduling conflicts.

Q: What is All Star Cheerleading?
A: All Star Cheerleading is a competitive sport where athletes perform a 2 minute 30 second routine consisting of stunting, tumbling, pyramids, dancing, and spirit.

Q: What age groups does Upstate Elite Cheer cater to?
A: Upstate Elite Cheer offers All Star Competitive Cheerleading for ages 4-19. We offer teams for Tiny/Youth, Junior, and Senior levels.
Q: Is Upstate Elite Cheer affiliated with any cheerleading organizations?
A: Yes, Upstate Elite Cheer is a member of the U.S. All Star Federation.
Q: Are the coaches at Upstate Elite Cheer certified?
A: Yes, all coaches at Upstate Elite Cheer are USASF Certified and undergo training and background checks.
Q: When does the season run for Upstate Elite Cheer?
A: Our All-Star season runs from early September through early May, with mandatory weekly practices during this time. We also offer optional summer training for athletes who want to stay active, build skills, or prepare for team placements.

Q: What skill levels are accepted at Upstate Elite Cheer?
A: Upstate Elite Cheer welcomes athletes of all skill levels—from complete beginners to advanced cheerleaders.
Our Tiny/Youth (ages 4–7) team is a novice team, perfect for athletes who are new to cheer or building foundational skills.
Our Junior Team (Level 2.2) is more advanced, stunting at Level 2 and made up of athletes who are developing Level 2 tumbling skills such as back walkovers and back handsprings.
Our Senior Team stunts at Level 3 and tumbles at Level 2, ideal for athletes with solid experience who are ready for higher-level skills and performance expectations.
Q: Do many of your athletes participate in other activities or sports?
A: Yes! Many of our athletes are involved in additional activities such as soccer, lacrosse, theater, and hockey. We fully support well-rounded athletes—but cheer practice is mandatory, and athletes must be able to commit to our practice and competition schedule.
Q: How do you support athletes who are involved in multiple sports or activities?
A: We understand that athletes may have other commitments, and we do our best to be flexible when occasional conflicts arise. As long as we receive advance notice, we will work with families to help balance schedules. However, because cheer is a team-based sport, Upstate Elite Cheer must remain a priority, and athletes are expected to attend all mandatory practices and competitions.
Q: What are the fees associated with your cheerleading program, including registration, monthly participation, and any additional costs?
A: Our cheerleading program entails a registration fee of $50. Monthly participation is priced at $55, encompassing training and facility expenses. We also provide optional fundraising opportunities to assist with competition fees.
Q: Where does UEC compete?
A: Our teams compete in various local, regional, and national competitions sanctioned by organizations such as the U.S. All Star Federation (USASF). We try to keep the majority of our competitions within a 1 -5 hour drive. Competing in 4-6 competitions each season. Our last competition in May is in Virginia Beach which is about a 9-10 hour drive.
Q: What are the financial expectations for competition attire?
A: Each athlete will be measured for their own custom fit uniform. Fundraising options will be available. Everyone must purchase their own uniform, bow and sneakers. Athletes can use the sneakers they use at practice as long as they are still in good condition. Next season athletes may trade, sell, or keep their uniform for another season (as long as it is in good standing condition).
Q: Do team expenses include travel and hotels for members and parents?
A: No, parents are responsible for this expense. Parents must keep their child with them until the coaches set a time to meet.
